  • Visionary Leadership Academy is a healing-centered, trauma-responsive microschool designed to support both emotional wellness and academic growth. Our intentionally small learning environment allows students to receive personalized support, build meaningful relationships, and learn in ways that help them feel seen, connected, and empowered to thrive.

  • We serve students in grades 5–12 from a variety of educational backgrounds including homeschooling, microschools, private schools, and traditional schools. Many of our families are seeking a more personalized, flexible, and emotionally supportive learning environment for their child.

  • Students who thrive at VLA often benefit from:

    Some students come to VLA after feeling overwhelmed, overlooked, disconnected, or unsuccessful in larger educational settings, while others simply learn best in a more individualized environment.

  • VLA is a microschool and home education support program designed to provide personalized educational experiences in a small-group setting. We partner closely with families to support student growth academically, emotionally, and personally.

  • Yes. Many of our families are current or former homeschool families seeking additional structure, academic support, social connection, or flexible learning opportunities while maintaining the benefits of a personalized educational experience.

  • We currently offer multiple flexible pathways for families including:

    • Thrive Track: 5 Days Per Week

    • Grow Track: 3 Days Per Week

    • LEAP PASS: Renewable 10-Day Flexible Enrollment Option

    • Tutoring & Academic Support

    • Afterschool Services

  • Yes. Families receive regular communication regarding student growth, progress, and learning goals. We also utilize academic progress monitoring tools to help support personalized learning and student success.

  • VLA may be able to support some students with IEPs or 504 Plans depending on the student’s individual needs, accommodations, and level of support required. Because every child is unique, we review each situation individually to determine whether our learning environment would be an appropriate fit.

    While we strive to provide a supportive and personalized environment for all learners, Visionary Leadership Academy is not a public school and does not provide special education services required under federal law through IDEA or FAPE. Families seeking intensive special education services, therapies, or legally mandated educational supports should carefully discuss their child’s needs with our team during the admissions process.

  • No. Visionary Leadership Academy welcomes students and families from all backgrounds.

  • Yes. We accept Step Up For Students scholarships for eligible families.
